BuildingPersonal Planning / Pattern Recognition
Daily Rhythm
I kept noticing that the same plan could feel easy one week and impossible the next. I want to understand that pattern instead of fighting it.
Project story
How it got here
Why this exists, what I learned while building it, and where it is going next.
- What bothered me
- My mood, energy, sleep, anxiety, and capacity change over time, but the way I plan usually assumes that every day starts with the same version of me. It doesn’t.
- What I realized
- Research can explain common cycle-related patterns, but it cannot tell me exactly how my pattern works. For that, I need my own history—and enough of it to stop treating every difficult day as random.
- What I’m building
- I’m building a planner that learns from personal entries and looks for recurring patterns. The goal is not to let an algorithm run my life. It is to give future me a useful warning about the days ahead.
- Where it is now
- The local prototype works, and I have around nine months of my own entries in it. The data is useful already. Security, cloud deployment, flexible tracking categories, and the prediction engine are still unfinished.
- Next
- Move it to a secure cloud setup, make the tracking categories flexible, and build a first prediction that is simple enough for me to test honestly.
That is where it stands for now. It will probably change.
